The Canadian Healthy Schools Alliance (the “Alliance”) was formed by the following Member Organizations:  PHE Canada, Ever Active Schools, Ophea, CASSA, DASH, Canadian School Board Association and ??. The Alliance operates http:/healthyschoolsalliance.ca on behalf of its Member Organizations (the “Site”). 

The Alliance may collect, use and disclose your Personal Information in accordance with applicable Canadian Provincial and Federal privacy laws to improve the content and operation of the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection, Use and Disclosure

The Alliance will not collect your Personal Information without your permission. When you sign up to receive newsletters, surveys, phone calls or other information directly from the Alliance or one of its Member Organizations, the Alliance and its Member Organizations will collect and store the personal information you provide during sign up that may include your name, email or physical address, telephone number and postal code (“Personal Information”). Your Personal Information will only be used to send you information you request when you sign up and may be disclosed to any Member Organization. You may unsubscribe at any time by emailing: hello@healthyschoolsalliance.ca; and asking to be removed from one or all of your subscription options.

Log Data

The Alliance collects information from your browser when you visit the Site (“Log Data”). This may include your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser region, the date and time of your visit and other information. In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this data. This information is not linked to your Personal Information and is only provided in an aggregate manner.

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amounts of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier, sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. CHSA uses cookies to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of the Site. 

Security

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. The Alliance will make all reasonable efforts to protect your Personal Information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of December 21, 2020 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after posting. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time without notice. Your use of the Site constitutes acknowledgement of, and agreement with, the Privacy Policy and any modifications. You are responsible for periodically checking the Site for changes to this Privacy Policy.
